Any Gender Male Female.Half-orcs were humanoids born of both human and orc ancestry by a multitude of means. Having the combined physical power of their orcish ancestors with the agility of their humans ones, half-orcs were formidable individuals.

Their existence implied an interesting back story that most would not like to dwell on. Half-orcs were, on average, somewhere from 5'9" — 6'4" 1. In general, half-orcs did not live as long as humans, maturing by their sixteenth year and often dying before their sixtieth.

Half-orcs that have lived amongst orcs have often picked up the common orcish tradition of ritual scarring. Half-orcs with such a background did not look upon scars as marks of shame or as unattractive blemishes, but rather as marks of pride that demonstrate their skill and bravery in battle. On occasion, however, scars were used for a darker purpose, with orcs marking half-orc slaves with scars in the same manner a rancher might brand cattle.

Knowledge gained from training

Half-orcs had shorter lifespans than humans, reaching maturity slightly earlier and rarely living longer than seventy-five years. Like other half-breeds, half-orcs combined the natures of both their lineages into a unique whole, a trait which extended into their mentality as well as their physical qualities.

Like humans, half-orcs were quick to action, tenacious and bold, and possessed an adaptability that was unusual among most races. From their orcish blood, half-orcs typically took less desirable qualities, which added to the discomfort others often felt around them. Few half-orcs had the patience for the etiquette or protocol that civilization has often imposed and were far from quiet about their opinions on the subject.

As a result, half-orcs were often perceived as uncouth savages, a reputation accentuated by the orcish love of physical pleasures such as eating, drinking, or dancing. Impatient and ill-tempered were stereotypes that are not too far off the mark for most half-orcs, but these qualities have not been necessarily negative. Sometimes, a brash and straight-to-business attitude has been precisely what is required.

The half-orc personality tended to be short-tempered and sullen, though half-orc mental capabilities have often been underestimated and they were significantly more cunning than full-blooded orcs. Most half-orcs were free-spirited like their orcish brethren, though they had fewer of the evil tendencies that blemished the reputation of orcs and were as likely good as they were evil, at least when raised among humans.

Half-orcs had a strength uncommon to most humans, though comparable with orcs. Half-orcs are less durable than their full-blooded kin, however, though they tend to be more dexterous and indeed, more so than most other humanoids. Half-orcs also had a resilience unique to them and when gravely injured, simply seem all the more determined to win, as though the blows had, in fact, empowered them.

Similarly, all half-orcs were capable of channeling their feral fury into a powerful attack.

These qualities were only temporary, however, and like any other mortal, half-orcs would eventually tire as a battle wore on and could be broken physically. Half-orcs were also agile, charging swiftly when their rage was aroused. It has been said that half-orcs could see perfectly in the pitch black of underground caverns or the darkest nights, like a drow. Half-orcs had no home to truly call their own in most places, excepting Palischuk in Vaasawhere a half-orc community thrived. This website exists thanks to the contribution of patrons on Patreon.

Hey ppl, Gonna start a new run and want to play a half orc. Anyway in your opinion. What class do you suggest for a half orc player?

However these were only brief thoughts I'm open to all suggestions Thanks. Corvino Member Posts: 2, December You could roleplay it and go Half-Orc Barbarian. They're similar to Berserkers but less overpowered. They've lots of nifty perks like massive HP, increased movement speed, barbarian rage not quite as good as berserker rage and they get damage resistance at BG2 levels to offset their armour limitations.

They get very good and have few drawbacks. Kank Member Posts: He's a total beast. Backstabs with 20 str After tome would wreck things. If you want to be more straight forward go Swashy. Assassin or Swash would be fun choices. ZanathKariashi Member Posts: 2, December edited December And with no real penalty for it they lack racial thief skills, but they aren't a huge difference in the long run since you'll eventually max everything anyway. Wanderon Member Posts: 1, Nukenin Member Posts: Since the player is a half-orc, and not necessarily the player's characterI imagine sorcerer would be a good fit.

Half-orcs are notoriously impatient, and the careful planning required in choosing what spells to memorize for tomorrow's adventuring might be pushing it.I'm planting trees with my site.

As their name suggests, half-orcs are a mix of humans and orcs. Their exact origin is unknown, or at least obscured by various legends. Some say a hobgoblin empire created the half-orcs, while others might say a tribe of humans chose to breed with orcs to strengthen their lineage. Due to the large differences between orcs, half-orcs, and humans, half-orcs are generally without a real home. However, they can fit in with both, and the difference between them and the other races could often be use to their advantage.

Orcs are stronger, more brutal, and savage than half-orcs, but half-orcs are more intelligent and resourceful. Humans are weaker than half-orcs, which usually means half-orcs do the more labor intensive jobs in their human communities, but due to their different appearance, and their general personality, humans tend to look at the half-orcs with a fair bit of prejudice.

Because the half-orcs never truly fit in, many choose a life of adventure, often with or in search of a party of their equals, whatever their kind may be. Under the leadership of Vansi, instead of reconnaissance the Orcs ended up controlling and settling in the Tower district part of Neverwinter. Due to close proximity of Orcs in the area, it is not uncommon to hear of a half-orc child. A half-orc child is often viewed with shame from the Human side of its family, irrespective of how they were born.

Shunned and often ridiculed, such children often grow up to be an adventurer or a brute. However it is not unheard of some fortunate half-orcs to get some direction from a mentor or a priest to lead somewhat respectable lives. Sign In. From Neverwinter Wiki. Jump to: navigationsearch.
